Kinstellar launches office in Kiev

Launching in Kiev is part of Kinstellar ambitious strategy to provide full-service coverage across Emerging Europe and Central Asia and follows the successful opening of the practice in Sofia, Bulgaria, last year and expansion into Turkey, Serbia and Kazakhstan prior to that.

A new office in Kiev will enable the firm to extend the seamless coverage to clients active in Ukraine’s dynamic market and will further enhance the firm’s well-established reputation for exceptional, consistent service across Emerging Europe and Central Asia.

A high-quality team in Kiev shall be led by Kostiantyn Likarchuk. Kostiantyn has extensive experience providing expert, practical high-quality advice to both businesses and to sophisticated international law firms.Kostiantyn Likarchuk is a graduate of the Kiev Institute of International Relations (Master of Laws, 2000)and Columbia Law School (LL.M. 2005).Practising law in Ukraine since 1998, he is specialised in DisputeResolution and M&A and also provides general corporate, competition, real estate and tax advice.

Kostiantyn represents clients in Ukrainian civil, commercial and administrative courts of all instances and acts as counsel before arbitration tribunals in major arbitration forums (in particular, London, Stockholm and Paris). He has advised, along with some of the leading firms in the world, on all aspects of litigation strategies, including on numerous cases touching on common law jurisdictions (among others BVI, Cyprus, England, Jersey, New York). He acts, together with international counsel, for numerous Ukrainian businesses and investors in their cross-border litigation matters. Kostiantyn also regularly acts as an expert on Ukrainian law in foreign courts.

He was a co-founder of the Ukrainian law firm Avellum Partners which became in a short period of time one of the leading firms in Ukraine for Corporate/M&A, Banking & Finance and Dispute Resolution. Kostiantyn is listed as one of the country's top lawyers by the leading legal international directories Chambers GlobalLegal 500 and IFLR 1000.
