Baker & McKenzie advised on major Ukrainian Eurobond
A multi-jurisdictional Baker & McKenzie team has advised the mining and steel company Metinvest BV on its debut offering of USD 500 million 10.25% Guaranteed Notes due 2015. The notes are listed and admitted to trading on the Global Exchange Market of the Irish Stock Exchange.
Metinvest owns the largest fully vertically-integrated mining and steel business in Ukraine with assets in Europe and North America.
The Baker & McKenzie team was led by London corporate partner Roy Pearce alongside Kiev partner Serhiy Chorny and London senior associate Iryna Nagayets. Support was provided by Kyiv associates Olexander Svyryd and Victoria Ischenko.
