Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association is being launched in Ukraine

On 22 August 2014 the founding meeting of Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA), initiated by Andrey Kolodyuk, managing partner of AVentures Capital, and Jaanika Merilo, managing director of Center for Ukrainian European Integration and Development, took place in the office of EY. UVCA will be following the lead and format set by European Venture Capital Association (EVCA), connecting European investors and investment industry participants.

Founding meeting was attended by over 30 industry participants from accelerators and incubators to private equity investors, investment holdingsand consulting companies, including Horizon Capital, EBRD, KM Core, AVentures, Vostok Ventures, Startup.ua, Capital Times, EY and others.

In September, after the general meeting and consultations with the market players, the candidates of supervisory board and managing director of the association will be presented to wider audience for the further transparant election, introducing strategy and the next plans.
