Sayenko Kharenko sets up representation in London and launches GR Practice
In October 2013 Sayenko Kharenko announced the establishment of the Ukrainian law practice in London and the launch of the new practice of Government Relations (GR).
Sayenko Kharenko's presence in London will raise the firm’s commitment to existing relationships and enhance the quality of client service to its significant European client base. Iryna Nagayets, a Ukrainian qualified lawyer, who previously worked for the London office of Baker & McKenzie, will be permanently based in London to assist with regular instructions of the firm’s UK and other European clientele.
The GR has become a standalone practice of Sayenko Kharenko after many years of representing businesses in some of the most heavily regulated industries of Ukraine’s economy, helping clients avoid potential regulatory deal breakers, as well as engagement in some of the most important legislation drafting projects helping to develop, debate, comment on or evaluate legislation from the business prospective. It will provide business-savvy policy guidance and legislative advocacy on cutting-edge matters, in addition to offering access to regulatory agencies and policy-makers in Ukraine. Andy Hunder, a UK national, who has more than 17 years of experience in managing external affairs and government issues in Ukraine and the UK, joined Sayenko Kharenko as head of the GR practice and will be based in London.
