Oleg Samus joined AstapovLawyers

Oleg Samus has joined AstapovLawyers International Law Group as partner and head of the Commercial & Government Relations Practices. Prior to joining the firm Oleg held a position of Legal & Public Affairs director in Bunge Ukraine. He has more than 10 years of experience in the agricultural and FMCG sectors.

Mr Samus handled multi-million acquisitions and divestments, infrastructure projects, corporate, commercial and tax disputes, criminal cases, assets protection against corporate raiders, antitrust investigations, development and implementation of compliance programs, including FCPA monitoring system, elaboration of draft laws and regulations. He represented companies and industries before the various Ukrainian, US and EU authorities, as well as NGOs and international financial institutions.

Oleg has a unique expertise in solving complex business issues combining legal, public relations and government relations strategies and tactics.

Mr Samus commenced leadership and executive development programs at IMD (Switzerland) and ESADE (Spain) business schools and graduated from the Taras Shevchenko National University.

During 2007-2013 Oleg Samus has served in the leadership of Agricultural Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine and Ukrainian Chapter of the New York State Bar Association. He is a member of the Ukrainian Bar Association, European Business Association, American Chamber of Commerce, US-Ukraine Business Council, Ukrainian Grain Association, Ukrainian Oil Producers Association, Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation.
