AstapovLawyers successfully defended commercial interests of OJSC Razgulay Group in court in Milan

AstapovLawyers International Law Group have, together with De Berti Jacchia Franchini Forlani, represented OJSC Razgulay Group, one of the largest Russian agricultural holdings, in ongoing proceedings in Italy that have gone on for more than 6 years.

The litigation over this dispute was commenced by a claim of an Italy-based company seeking to recover the payment allegedly agreed as part of the settlement agreement concluded with respect to a non-fulfilled contract of sale. Additionally, the claimants sought compensation of their losses incurred due to the fluctuation in currency exchange rates since 2003 till  the present, with interest and court-related expenses.

On the basis of the numerous defences raised in this case and the claimants’ subsequent decision to abandon all of the above-mentioned claims, on 11 July 2013 by the order of the court of first instance of general jurisdiction of Milan these proceedings were declared as formally extinguished.
