Sayenko Kharenko advised on the sale of Ukrainian subsidiary of Greece’s Alpha Bank
Sayenko Kharenko acted as the legal counsel to Alpha Bank A.E., an Athens based bank, on the EUR 82 million sale of 100% shares in PJSC Astra Bank to a Cyprus based entity affiliated with Mr. Mykola Lagun.
The deal was signed on 18 July 2013 in Kiev and will be closed later this year as soon as the change of control is approved by the Ukrainian regulatory authorities.
Sayenko Kharenko provided full transactional support, including general advice on Ukrainian banking and corporate law matters, deal structuring, development and negotiation of all transactional documents.
Sayenko Kharenko’s team for the transaction included counsel Alina Plyusch, associates of the corporate and M&A practice groups of the firm and was led by counsel Leonid Antonenko and supervised by partner Vladimir Sayenko.
