American writer/former Asst. Attorney General Hense R. Ellis II announces that all net proceeds from his debut novel, Law School, will now benefit ukrainian orphans

Former Asst. Attorney General and frequent Kiev visitor Hense [hents] R. Ellis II (B.A. 82, J.D. 85) has announced that all net proceeds from his debut novel, LAW SCHOOL, will now benefit the many orphans of the Ukraine. LAW SCHOOL is a murder mystery blended with a coming-of-age story, all set in and around a Southern U.S. law school. LAW SCHOOL sale proceeds will assist Ukrainian orphans via reputable charities, such as OrphansNoMore II. (For more information on OrphansNoMore II, see www.SupportOrphansNoMore.com.)

Succinctly put, Law School is a great novel that benefits a great cause. And so it’s the perfect summer vacation read.

Plot summary: LAW SCHOOL is an action packed legal thriller, a murder mystery blended with a coming-of-age story about young Seth Sentel, a gifted--yet naïve--first-year law student.

What’s a nice, honest guy like Seth doing in law school? Well, he doesn’t know either.

He senses, however, that something about his law school just ain’t right. Something there--other than him--feels out of place. Then, two students are murdered. Then two more--both good friends of his--are shot in a hunting accident . . . or are they? The local “Policia” have it all wrong: wrong suspect, wrong crime. Seth’s not sure what to do, not sure who to blame, not sure who to trust, not even sure who he is. It’s a true moment of “Ya ne poinyamaya!” Nonetheless, Seth is driven by loyalty to find out who murdered his friends.

Seth is untested; so, he gets scared. He’s naïve; so, he gets fooled. Will he get justice? Or, will he cut and run? Maybe he’ll be himself, and start seeing what’s real--and what’s not.

LAW SCHOOL is all about mystery, all about action, all about law school, and all about growing up fast. It’s also all about how some things--and some people--just ain’t what they seem.
