Avellum Partners advises Kernel on acquisition of Enselco

Avellum Partners acted as the legal counsel to Kernel Holding S.A. in connection with its acquisition of a 100% stake in Enselco, a farming company managing 29,300 ha of leasehold farmland. This transaction will allow Kernel to expand its total farm land under management to 215,000 ha. This acquisition will also strengthen Kernel's sugar operations in Khmelnitsky Region by adding a large acreage of prime farm land dedicated to sugar beet production.

Kernel is one of the largest agricultural companies in Ukraine with a vertically integrated corporate structure, a leader in Ukraine's bottled sunflower oil and oil export market, as well as one of the country's largest grain exporters.

The team of Avellum Partners was led by associate Yuriy Nechayev, with significant input from associate Oleksandr Polonyk, and with overall supervision by managing partner Mykola Stetsenko.
