Svetlana Musienko of DLA Piper elected IFA Ukraine member of the Board for 2010-2012

Svetlana Musienko, legal director and head of tax with the Kiev office of DLA Piper, has been elected a member of the board of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) Ukraine for 2010-2012, according to the results of member votes gathered. The newly elected will retain their positions until December 2011 when the next elections are scheduled to be held.

In her new post Svetlana will, together with other members of IFA management, contribute to constructive dialogue between international business, Ukrainian fiscal authorities and tax judiciary and will further promote the adoption by Ukraine of internationally recognized standards in the field of tax, including the OECD Commentary, Transfer Pricing Guidelines, concepts developed by ECJ and tax courts globally. Svetlana is an active participant of various tax and legal initiatives on the market, she often attends legal and tax committees of the European Business Association and the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.

Together with Svetlana, other members of the board were elected, namely Svetlana Bilyk of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Iryna Marushko of Lavrynovych & Partners and Alisa Dubrova, attorney at law. IFA Ukraine also elected Slava Vlasov of PricewaterhouseCoopers its treasurer, and Oleg Marchenko of Magisters as its President.
